Hello Cahir, the fight with Faust and his spawns can be quite challenging, considering that the next stash/trader is quite a long way to the north (STC Malachite) and you already faced countless Monolith Zealots leading to the encounter.

The things that did help me after a couple of deaths was to equip some +physical damage reduction artifacts and completely neglect Rad-buildup. Swapping to the Saiga or any other, close range high-damage weapon to shoot the DEVICE on his belt, and the DEVICE ONLY would get me through, eventually. All this while frantically pushing STIMS.

Best of luck, Stalker - and enjoy the cutscene.

It's just hype and atmosphere. Focus on running from lamp to lamp and healing yourself. A rhino for the lamps and a buckshot shotgun for the belt will do handily

Keep your weight in the green zone so you can sprint a lot. Drop excess gear in the building before you go on the roof. You can get it later. Equip shotgun, Saiga is best. Locate the three lamps on the roof. Ignore the Monolithians. Run and shoot each lamp then shoot the lamp tied to Faust's belt. Don't let your health drop below 50%. Three artifacts are a huge help here: Weird Ball (absorbs a portion of bullets hitting you), Thunderberry greatly increases stamina recovery), Petal (almost completely stops bleeding so you don't need bandages). By the time you reach this mission you should have armor with good protection especially psi and lead containers for your artifacts. Seva suit or if you're the adventurous type you can sneak into Pripyat and grab an exo-skeleton. Put psi block tabs in a quick slot. If you do this right it takes less than two minutes to defeat Faust. Warning: don't accept his help.

This is my experience only, and if others are struggling I can empathize.

I did this last night and the fight didn't even last a minute. I was all hyped up for it after all the threads I'd read and I was prepared for a slugfest. That is not what happened at all.

I came on to the roof with my Saiga and just ran to each lamp, two shots each and then two mags at the one hanging on Faust and it was over. I healed once and didn't even need to but I didn't expect it to go so fast.

Just do this and it will be over fast. Taking out the first three lamps cut the incoming fire (maybe got rid of it altogether, but I was focused on Faust).

I had found lots of good loot on the way, including a Conundrum suit and a Operator exo but dropped them and wish I had not. I thought I would need the stamina for the fight.

Got a Operator off a body on the roof after the fight so it all worked out OK.

How on earth can you hit the lamp on his side that easily? I am trying but for whatever reason my shots are not hitting it. And with the 5 other guys running around with shotguns shooting at the same time, I am dead before I can even reload for another go.

This boss fight just took all the fun out of the game for me.

Imo they fight is very poorly made.
All you do is (kill enemieshaving breached/flanked your cover) shoot a lamp, jump behind cover, heal, reload, repeat.
Faust just adds a bait controller blast, jump behind cover, heal if needed into the list.

I had really good protection that many may not have when they attempt this fight. Fully upgraded Falcon, Compass and Petal. If you have anti-bleed and physical protection artifacts wear them for this.

As for the lamp on Faust, I shot him from like ten feet, just unloading the Saiga as fast as I could shoot it and reload. Not sure they were all hitting, but you don't need to kill him, just destroy the lamp.

After patch 1.1, the game became incredibly difficult; the enemies are literally indestructible. The final fight with Faust is unplayable—skill has nothing to do with it. You simply can't kill him, and the constant respawning of his clones behind your back is an everyday occurrence.

You have to take out the blue emmiters op thier is 2 in the building and 3 on the roof it will slow down the spawns

performance drops significantly, I am running around a lot. I also got a weird autosave with empty roof and enemies just teleport there once. I got a lot of hit, die a lot, and when I finally close to win, this happens: https://ibb.co/M2CFnGF

Just use grenades. You only need two or three grenades, making this a much easier fight.

I can never tell which fight people talk about, the first one or the second one.
The first one was crazy, things just kept respawning and I kept dying and the only thing that helped me get through it was to run in a building and shoot through the door at clones and spawns.

The second fight on the roof was super easy. Just shoot the emitters, shoot the lamp on his belt. Was done in a minute without dying.

You need to really spec up for this fight. It's one of the hardest fights I've experienced in the game so far. I'm guessing it supposed to be that way because it stops players just ripping through the story line too quickly.

One of the things that helps, apart from heavily speccing up your character, is to make sure to destroy the psi-emitters, especially the one on Faust's belt.
