Cartridges are rare however, only use it in extreme situations. There's also 40 cartridges for it stashed on the Bagger 288 in Red Forest.
Endgame traders sell cartridges and also some enemies will have gauss guns, so you can loot the ammo from time to time.
Using this made one of the "bossfights" in endgame really easy(no idea how hard it is without though).
Total waste of ammo. Just don't kill them.
you can't do that on all them thier is a point later in the story where you have to kill a psodogiant before you can continue
But Kharod was beaming so well for me with high cap mag that I didnt find a need even to use Super sniper...
Endgame I was using both of Gauss guns, 1 for closed combat bc of the ammo cap, 2nd to pick enemy snipers with the scoped one...
