Yeah I feel like most of us are on the same page. We all want a Freedom/Duty dlc, and most of us can't help but notice the huge zone of Iron Forest that can't be entered (well except the edge to get are notification), and I feel not enough was done with the 2 gangs supported by Freedom and Duty in a sort of proxy war. So I imagine all of us are look at that particular area (which does border the garbage and is between the 2, whether we talking Freedom/Duty or Brood/Commissary, groups to the north) as the likely first major dlc, with a fair idea who is going to be fighting over that contested territory.
Whether Freedom vs Duty, or a proxy war between the gangs, the power void left by Nestor being gone (temporarily filled void while Ward is at Slag Heap), needs to be resolved. That is regardless of ending, and can potentially be approached prior to the ending (or even the resurgence of Monolith). I think a good spot for the trigger of the start would be after visiting Noontide, but before going to the Clear Sky base, if possible coincide it with the exact moment the Ward leaves Slag (even if you need to make that a little sooner).
The Skif ending is going into the chamber yourself and spreading the zone all over the planet.
So the Dalin ending lol
if you think about it its the only one that makes sense, only one that allows more games to exist.
Strelok locks the zone down, so no more games.
Ward shuts the zone down and takes control, so no more games
scar brainwashes everyone and lets the zone die, so no more games.
Skif frees the zone and opens more around the world. Only one where stuff can happen.
My favorite is the Strelok ending, but gameplay-wise the Ward is the best.
