is there no way to 'save' hamster and bodyguard?

I'm able to enter and finish quest now thx for people here.
and pls note that if u rush to report (before they reach door and died) how u handle hamster situation (u can report this to Warlock & Gaffer and getting reward), dialog would indicate that you use money and hamster and bodyguard both alive.
If you let hamster and bodyguard reached around door and died, and report after this, dialog supposes indicate you killed them even you actually used money.
so is there a way to prevent hamster and bodyguard from dying? I thought if they survived we could still got weapon merchant (hamster) and bodyguard might become a guide?

Mission is bugged, yes. However it is possible to save Hamster, but not the bodyguard as far as I can tell. You are required to complete the mission in a very specific order to do so.

Basically, finish all tasks except Hamster. This means all optional missions and the main one.
Then go back and save in the town, but do not turn them in yet.
Now talk to hamster, and rush back to turn in all missions. Make sure you turned in everything and make sure you turn it all in before he reaches the door. If you get the dialogue from Warlock that makes it sound like you killed Hamster, you did not do it in time. Reload and try again.
Now leave the town (Hamster may be dead at the door as you leave. This is fine, just ignore)
Once you get far enough away from town, you'll start second half. Rush back to town and complete this part entirely.
Go back and talk to Gaffer.
Now leave the town at least 300+ meters and return.
Hamster should be resurrected and available to purchase things from. If not... reload and try again.

Honestly You're really not missing out on anything by him dying though. Probably NOT worth all this effort, but it is at least doable. Also no matter what I did the bodyguard stayed dead at the door.

He came back to life for me later on when I fast traveled back to town. Of course, I am now stuck inside because freaking Ales Bavaria is blocking the damned door to get out side and I cant get access to my weapons to stab him to death. But thats a different issue.

so for me it went like this: went there and defended the place. did all side quests and finally hamsters quest. i gave his guard money and as soon as they started walking, i ran to warlock told him all is fine then ran to gaffer told him. after that i ran straight to the main part of the quest in the south. came back and defended the place a second time. hamster was dead. i left the place and came back later after a bit of exploring. hamster is there, selling stuff and thanking me

ok seems only difference here is I did hamster quest second last, but I still got dialog saying I paid bodyguard, and I went to finish main one as last one, and I stop playing. I will go and try the rest to see if hamster respawn or not.

yeah this is very first fully bug quest I've encountered in this game and its very annoying

This dude is so annoying. I just came back and he is still blocking the way. But you can crouchjump to get behind him.
