Duplicate Ward Sensors?

I'm in Izumrudne. I was just talking with Star. He said something about needing some Ward Sensors so that we could listen in on the Ward's comms. So for a second I thought I was going to have to go find some sensors. But then he switched on the radio and we began listening in on the Ward's transmissions, and Star said that Richter gave him the Ward Sensors that he had gotten from me, back in the Lesser Zone.

But then when I was leaving Star to go work on the next quest, where I have to locate Alpha Team, Bravo Team, and Faust's Agent, I found a dead body laying nearby that had Ward Sensors on it. They have a quest marker on them, but when I picked them up I did not get any sort of quest update or anything. On a hunch I tried to take them to Star, but I can't given them to him.

Are these going to be needed for something coming up, or are they some duplicate Ward Sensors that I don't need? I'm confused.

You will eventually use the unusual pda in a quest.
