Poppy fields (Spoiler alert)

I must’ve died about 20 times. Got plenty of energy drinks. Helping the NPC loot the bodies. Got one body left to loot but auto saved and barely got a minute before I die again. How the heck do you get through this mission? Tried running back to safe area and waiting for sleep effects to clear but can’t reach the last body.

Avoid the floating petals, they'll just put you to sleep or kill you outright.

That's odd - all what happened to me is that I got "teleported" around (sleepwalking?) which ultimately helped me to get all the guns of the dead. Then I returned and ended the mission. Btw - you can double-cross the npc - to get the weapon AND be able to give the idol to the original quest giver. Just shoot the guy at the poppy field after getting the weapon. Also, I'm always running in that field.

i really don't get how u find it hard it was easy to do. just run to the edge of the field when ever u start to feel sleepy

I initially had some issues with this quest, one of them being the poppy fields guy dying repeatedly for no reason before i could return...

What i realised after a while was you can safely run through the poppies in straight lines, so when you know where the bodies are its just a matter of downing an energy drink grabbing the loot from 3 while drinking one or two between looting, then running out of the zone to recover. Repeat and grab the other 2 and back out again. Work out a pattern to grab them in.

Took me a few attempts but its fairly easy when you realise the poppies really don't seem to make much of a difference.

I'll leave this area be. I die and when re-load I die again within 10 sec every time. No chance to do anything and the energy drinks do not help at all. Perhaps not everyone experiences it the same but for me this area is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
