Everyone except the guards are gone. Sid, Wolf, the tech and most of the roaming stalkers.

I didn't get a notification of something happening, so is this a bug or what?

It also happened to me today, don't know when. I have been collecting artifacts and found my first legendary.

Have you also been doing something specific before it happened?

No I was just doing the main quest, then I come back and it's all empty.

I think it only started after heading to Pripyat.

I haven't been to Pripyat yet. The last main quest I did was called "Legends of the Zone"

I wish pripyat was accessible without having to progress 95% of the story.
