A tip to earn more money
It seems there is an issue with items you sells or buy in this game.

A redditor find out that if you right-click on an item after pulling it into the selling space and click elsewhere after, the real sell price shows in the total value. In order to validate this amount, you need to drag&drop a stackable item on the sellable space and then click on "Sell"

Here is an example https://x.com/altair_gaming/status/1859765484230672614?s=46&t=RP7EOhplVlh2Q3jXIsnoJw

It its a bug, it shows the price of items worth in the "receive" section, NOT the amount trader is willing to pay.

Example; Trader will pay 1000 for a new AK, but if you right click on the gun while on the trade window, the "receive" section will now show 5000, cause thats the item worth not the buyer offer.

in short; You dont get that money even if you accept the trade after. its just a visual bug.

Apparently not with every item, i didnt receive 80k when i tested. Thank god tho. (tested on veteran)

"earn" more money, its an exploit at this point.

I tried and it works for me, I can assure you.

You are probably right when you says this is an exploit but the reality is that the game is really unbalanced, especially about economy.

Yeah this is a bug. The economy seems okay if you only use the best gear when you need it. For example I usually use one weapon slot for crap I loot from the enemies and use them when no real firepower and reliability is needed. Playing on Veteran and I have been able to upgrade my armor and weapons with the current economy but usually leave town with less than 300 coupons. But personally I like it that money doesn't become irrelevant as quick as usually.

Selling the excess ammo you don't need gives a lot of money. Also the most expensive thing so far seems to be repairing armor. A tip is to just unequip the armor when you dive in some elemental damage if you know you can survive it without the armor, so you don't lose durability and instead just use one more med.

But wouldn't mind lowering the repair costs by like 10%.

personally i rather have hard economy, then all the cash in the world, its no fun having COD warzone meta guns.

+ even without using this exploit, i rolled with 100k when i 1st got over the bridge at chemical plant map. I set self enforced rules cause im already walking the OP line and its not going to be fun anymore.

Imo this exploit removes all incentive to play the sidequests
Why bother earning 800 coupons and haul loot to sell if you can sell just 1 damaged gun for 3000+
AllanWake™ Nov 23, 2024 @ 11:05am
there is another exploit to....

In the start, before the head bash logo screen, if you collect all the guns (that are new btw) and the loot, then dump everything you have in the blue safe before you set off the last scanner. All will be waiting for you in the safe and more, when you wake up.
Viper Nov 23, 2024 @ 11:06am
Earn more money why.
Cryptic Nov 23, 2024 @ 11:07am

Also, it does give the money.

Select the item.
Right click the item.
Select a stackable and add it to the sale slot, don't add it comepletely and hit confirm down at the bottom. Try it, it works.

Why can't we just sell bolts? They are worth a fortune in America: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3370818836

the way i do, dont get shoot, dont get hit my mutants, aim for the head and take guns and armor off with petty anomalies......and dont bash things with a gun.... condition drops from everything.

Use NPCs to kill large groups of mutants, USE anomalies to kill mutants (especially on veteran)

Saves me on meds, ammo, and cash.... =100k at the first bridge to chemical plant.

Don't know what to say. So far I've been able to handle it and also upgrade some of the items. I assume you sold to the correct vendors for the higher prices.

If for that loot you lost so much of your armor and weapon durability then I guess we just have different playstyles. Also repairing the starting pistol is basically free so I use it for most trivial encounters.

EDIT: I also think about what ammo to use. Most of the time I just use ammo that does the least amount of durability damage and only use other ammo when absolutely needed. Don't know if it actually matters that much but anyways..

Mhm... Right, so the starting pistol on a group of 9+ bandits with M860's and AR416's and sometimes even vistars? No, I use a scoped rifle, but still take some hits. My armor is the freedom guardian suit SZ, which has very high physical protection and other's pretty high as well. The sale price of the armor is 45k, the repair cost, is near the same sale price. Even at 82% quality, the repair cost is 14k.

So I don't know what magical economical world you live in where you're sustaining, but you must not be doing a damn thing in it. I'm swimming in ammo, meds, food, water and artifacts, but selling them all to repair one set of armor, is not a sustainable life style.

I have a tip: Try giving handys to the passing NPCs in the first settlement
