Apple Shot - went to rot
So, I completed Beard's quest which requires you to save (in a rather theatrical manner) 3 of his guys.
All good, Ringmaster was happy, and the 3 guys ran off.

The quest updated and told me to return to Beard for some coupons.

As I was leaving the camp, the 3 guys who I saved, decided that they didn't want to be saved anymore. They turned right around, turned hostile towards myself and the guys in the camp and committed suicide.

I then went back to a very angry Beard who basically called me a failure for letting his guys die!

I was like, "Dude! I saved them! It's not my fault they decided to attack the guy who saved them!"

I should add that at no point did I attack them. I just sat at a distance and watched them run head first into a dozen bandits and drop dead 5 seconds later.

I've reported it to the devs, but really...if saving someone is part of a quest, they should really turn off any code that's going to make them attack the guy who's saving them.

I took the Apple chalange, and wen they let them go, i killed the bandits and took there stuff...

I went for the kill the bandits before they kill the hostages challenge
Beard was pissed, but the quest completed

I use my rifle and not the shotgun on the counter. Was this a bug? To allow the player to use a scope rifle on this part?

I used my pistol. I didn't even notice the shotgun until after I'd shot all the apples.

You should have followed the guys on their way so they in a safe way make it.
You dont have to follow them all the way to the ship, go back and kill the bandits.
And you get a happy Beard.
So it isnt a bug.

If you know how a shotgun works you understand the shotgun is a trap.... or should be.
