So far Im using Whip rifle i found on the main mission which awesome seem all around gun for my play style.

Just curious, but given all I'm hearing about enemies not spawning unless within 120 metres, what use do you have for a sniper rifle?

Dnipro w/ 4x scope - I find the ammo to be readily available, its killing power seems 'reasonable', it doesn't have annoying behavior like slow aiming speed or out-of-control recoil, there is a silencer and extended mag.

also using the dnipro but with the holo sight for close to med range.

I've mainly been using the Dnipro with the 4x sight (fully modded plus suppressor), but when it doesn't seem to be enough, then the SVU 3.

got a gauss recently from a side mission but are the ammo rare?

Whip... I saw that on the table, but I didn't want to take it from him as it felt like I would be stealing on my way out.

its the zone stealing is part of it lol but yeah pretty good rifle nice damage stats compare to the other sniper rifle.

The whip is nice but it's a little harder to keep stocked up on ammo for it. I default to the Kharod with the underbarrel grenade launcher but I go out with the Whip sometimes for the fun of it.

I finished my first play through and went back to a previous save. Now screwing around in The Zone with the Mark 1 EMR and Hunter (aka M701). That M701 with AP rounds... oh so nice. Might be better than the SVU 3 (haven't done precise measurements, just playing the game).

The Hunter looks so cool, and I love the name, but I found it very underwhelming to use. This game just doesn't have a place for bolt action rifles, IMO.
