New Update game still won't launch.

Anyone else having this issue. When the game first came out i had new issues. It worked perfectly fine. Now after the batch up recent updates my game dosen't even get past the first logo screen on start up before auto closing.

Specs shouldn't be a issue because I have a fairly modern rig. Any help would be dope!

Maybe start with the basic checking?
Upgrade drivers, OS, BIOS and check integrity of your files......

not even 6,000 people playing since yesterdays update,.. I think a lot of players must be dealing with what you are or finally moved on.

Have the same today. Patch 1.2 installed, new Nvidia drivers also plus steam cache cleared and steam test files integrity done, still cannot run the game, after selecting Continue game from main menu it's going back to the desktop

If you have used UE Debug Tool and/or mods the saves might be corrupt

Didn't do any of those (not using mods at all), just internal Steam clearing as suggested on stalker website

Send a ticket and tell them what is happening including your saves so they can take a look at it.

Alot of the playerbase is done with the game, as in finished it months ago. It doesnt have replayability in a a sense that its worth playing it twice. And some,ofcourse, has given up on it, and i understand that perfectly, its been a massive headache.

I wish i never bought this yet, but thats on me.

For me I also did a fresh install and still same issue with crashing. This is also my first time with the franchise.

I reinstalled from scratch on a fresh save and not only did it launch flawlessly but it runs smoother.

I have been having the same error and crash the second I load my save file. I am going to see if I can start a new game. It could be the new patch is incompatible with old saves. I have never experienced a crash in this game until this last patch was released.

No saved game will load without a crash to desktop, after over 4 days game-play I won't be starting again to get back to that point, so a lot of us will be watching you-tube walkthroughs to see how it ends, shame, seemed like a promising game.
