Devs died fighting in Ukraine?
When I read about that I think all the negative reviews should be dismissed to be honest, these dudes had to stop working on this game and serve their country. Some never came back.

Puts it in perspective doesn't it?

But you and I both know that means little to the most vocal detractors among us.

Was this confirmed by a reliable source? This would be pretty sad if true.

Work continued in Czechia about 2 years ago or something like that, so the game was still being worked on by developers who were in a safe country. However I would not doubt for a moment that many Ukrainian developers were called to service given the fact that the country is in a state of war.

It's a product on an open market that we've all paid real money for. Devs of any project have a responsibility to deliver a good game. It's a simple business contract.... war or no war.

By the beginning of 2023, 200 employees were transferred to Prague, 130 remained in Ukraine; by the "end" of development, 270 were in Ukraine, and 200 in different countries of the world...

How unfortunate, fighting in a war that much makes the rich plutocrats richer and enriches the corporations and the elites in the process.

That said I have no idea what Putin thought he would gain starting it. I guess he thought it would be a cakewalk. He didn't think the west was going to print unlimited amounts of money and keep supplying them? That's the what west does, they print money, because it makes their ruling class richer by doing so.

Putin can threaten to use nukes all he wants but if he does, the whole world is against him. He was really in a lose/lose situation no matter what he does. If he had half a brain he'd never have started the war and would have tried for more talks. He's already in a country with declining birthrates and declining population.

According to the population charts Ukraine's population has dropped 5 million in just a few years... hopefully that's not all from civilian casualties. That's insane. War is a playground for the rich and powerful. All nation's troops should stop swallowing their nation's propaganda and refuse to fight unless attacked first. Social media makes it so we can break free of our leader's brainwashing now assuming they're not an autocratic regime controlling access to the "free" internet. All wars do is make the rich richer.

This is a gaming site. It has nothing to do with politics. If you want to talk about the Russo-Ukrain war, there are plenty of other places to do it.
