@Virake is polite. I respect that alot - I try to be polite to.
I agree with @Virake's post.
My response though to your post is that this is the worst crap I have read on this forum. Sorry, but that is my response.
I think the AI actively captured points of interest, went out on patrol, defended points of interest, hunted artifacts, and looted corpses as well as sleeping and sitting at campfires if my ancient memory serves me right. Or was that A-life? I'm not sure if the two are mutually exclusive or not, they are however both symbiotic.
You make some valid points, as does OP (although his are coloured by rage), but if it's a toss up between AI that is too 'I' for it's own good (Oblivion's nerfed Radiant AI for example) and stable but unremarkable gameplay, I'd like to see an effort made to provide a middle ground at least, that pushes the AI to the top edge of its capability... instead of the predictable simplistic robots we have populating S2. So what if an NPC flips out, a little weirdness can be entertaining in games, which isn't such a bad thing for a medium that is all about entertainment.
So the real question here - what is the problem to check out mods for Stalker 2? I use around 5 mods that literally fixed all of the issues you mentioned there (except for a draw distance - but I have faith GSC will fix it too). Mods fix laser beam enemies, bullet sponges, enemy behavior (fine in vanilla in too: they flank you, suppress with fire, use grenades to smoke you out of cover and so on), offline AI routing etc. Try Shay's Living Zone, Malkane's Better Zone, Modular Hardcore Mod, Better NPC Progressive Loadouts. There is a new A-Life mod called 'A-Life Uh.. Found A Way' with ridiculous range for offline AI where they just go about their lives 800 meters away from you. I personally still prefer Shay's because he offers ton of customization with addons and also simply because the map is larger than anything before and if AI had prefixed routing like in OG series - you would simply not meet any life in the game while traveling huge distances. With the mod I do meet patrols capturing POI, defending POI, sitting by the fire and all the other good unscripted stuff that gentlemen above mentioned while also running into occasional Chimera or Pseudogiant. Hell, it's fun to occasionally run into a real warfare where 3 squads each from opposing faction fight each other with several burers behind them throwing dead blind dogs at them with telekinesis. The modding community is simply superb in Stalker 2 and if you already prefer playing heavily modded old titles - you can also try mods here.
So better than yours?
Rdr 2 run on the Xbox one/ps4 without any issue, Stalker 2 run on the Xbox Series X and Series S of console.
Seem you have a hidden agenda.
