Wish granter lore question

If c-con is smart enough to build such a powerfull machine such as wishgranter, which can bend reality to the extremes easily in a way that no one can explain. Couldn't he made something similar to kill Strelok?

How in the hell did he got smoked by some middle aged, balding, most likely sterile due to the prolonged exposure to radiation and has a testosterone equivalent of a highschool girl Stalker?

Looking back, Strelok wouldn't survive.

Well the thing there is the wish granter was always fake. It never granted wishes. It was bait. And lore wise the results are "Most people who make it there are brainwashed into monolith soldiers. You get the die while hallucinating bad ending"

Which is why in the good end, dealing with C-Con is as easy as shooting their psychic stasis tubes with an AK47.... after you make it through the absolute rambo call of duty hell to get to them.

"Why does god need a starship-I mean, army of power armor soldiers?"

All the anomalies and psychic death storms (and the zone expanding 1/100000th of an inch every storm) are also a result of the C-Con guys ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP REAL BAD. The Most of the psychic mutants were Umbrella labs style on purpose though.

The wishgranter isn't real. It's bait to lure in stalkers and then brainwash them into the ranks of the Monolith.

I wonder which ending is canpn.
One of the trailers has famous "come to me" line.
Another one has working C-Con tubes
But we know that Monolith doesnt exist anymore and Monolith dudes are back to being themselves.

Devs love deciding after the fact "Uh... we are too dumb to continue the game with the good ending but will try to pretend that is deep and only babies want good endings so-". But in stalker, most of the reason all the C-Con stuff is open knowledge is because The Good Ending happened.

Call of Pripyat also only exists, because The Good Ending happened. Complete with Strelok popping out of an air vent after being a no-show all game declaring the final boss is... an escort mission for him.

Call of duty sequence against monolith, business as usual.

Well, even though it would make no sense. I brought up "Devs love to backwalk to 'aw ♥♥♥♥, we can't keep making games if we stick with the sane ending'" for a reason.

So while I can say it would make no sense, and give reasons it would make no sense? I can't say it would be impossible either.

It's just a promotional "hype" trailer, not intended to represent actual gameplay, and consider it a flashback to something before the events of this particular game.

Or maybe somebody has salvaged the remnants of the gear used by C-Con, and is using it for their own purposes. They could be generating imagery that C-Con still exists, to throw people off. Or whatever.

This is cliche. But wouldn't expect anything else from the games nowadays. Lets pin this down and come back to it when the game releases
