Do you guys think the deluxe or ultimate are worth it for the weapons?
I never played part 1, but do you think it will be a thing where the weapons will be replaced quickly like a lot of arpgs that have preorder weapons?

So it isnt like what youre thinking. The best way to describe it would be like "Fallout New Vegas". The weapons and armor are all unique, therefore have to be found or earned through in game quests or exploration. I doubt we will get anything available at the start of the game. This isnt going to be like Assassins creed odyssey where you find a cool sword, level up a little and then the sword is useless until you find a new level matched version of it.

In FoNV, unique weapons were bought at specific traders, found around the Mojave Desert, or earned through completing unique quests. I have no reason to believe that this would be any different from New Vegas, despite their only comparison being that the settings are both "apocalyptic."

The different editions will have different unique variants or "skins" that can be applied to found weapons. Im not quite sure which yet, but in the first game there was still unique weapons, so its a crapshoot as to which theyre going with. I personally feel that they are doing unique variants in story mode, and skins usable for multiplayer.

Hope this helps!

I just don't want them handed to me on a silver platter. If the game starts and they're already in my inventory then I would actually prefer to stick to the basic version.

"We don't know", but I think that it is doubtful that the bonus items are more than minor buffs on the stock item. Further, the bonus items are not given to you, they are placed somewhere out in the Zone for you to find - maybe in a cache, maybe replacing a quest reward for a similar item, etc.

I personally doubt that the bonus items are anything remotely like pay-to-win.

If you have a doubt about spending the money, then don't. Especially, if you think that your FOMO is being triggered, then don't buy the higher editions, just stick with the base game. It's a single-player game, you will never realize that the bonus items are "missing".

Same, i hope you have to find them while exploring like for most RPGs.

But i doubt it tbh.

They confirmed the weapons are in stashes in the zone, not in your inventory.

What's triggering my FOMO is the side-quest. I could honestly skip everything else. But... I also want to support the devs so I wouldn't mind going all out...

Ultimate edition here, don´t care about weapons and extra mission. I just pay to support GSC, because they gave me a good childhood with Stalker :steamthis:

Ok that's good. I would have even settled for the black market dealer from CoP.

edit: have an award for being genuinely helpful.

Since the weapons (and armors) will be spread over the zone I wouldn't buy an edition just to have access to them. By the time you find one you might already have a version of that gun or it comes with a modification you don't like.

Why play the Game at all if you get an Exo Suit and a VSS handed to you right away?

Okay some of you guys are kinda making sense. x_x I am going to buy this game either the standard or ultimate. I already chose ultimate but can cancel it and get the standard.

Exo suits are what Tom Cruise uses in Edge of Tomorrow.
