Older STALKER games have maybe 200 modders... OK, let's be generous. 2,000 people have modded older STALKER games. OK. That's nice and fair. Now, each one of those modders had to learn the game editing tools from scratch and that takes time. A lot of time. It's why mods lie GAMMA and ANOMALY took a decade to perfect. No one is born with this skill. It has to be learned.
Now consider STALKER 2's backbone is Unreal Engine 5. UE editing in a variety of formshas been available for public use for, well, before many gamers were born. Today, the Unreal Tool kit has MILLIONS of users. I'm not kidding. These are people who will be entering the mod scene with skills already practiced, if not perfected. When the game is opened up for modding, you'll see new content from Day One.
Of course good mods take time. But the talent for building the STALKER 2 equivalent of, say, ANOMALY, is inevitable. ...and it won't take a decade, either. Just imagine 1% of all UE users making mods, then imagine just 1% of those mods actually being any good, then the possibility of thousands of mods worth playing is real and just a matter of much you will be able to keep up with it all.

A private server for what? They dont plan any coop features.
A private dedicated server, meaning the ability for people to setup their own dedicated servers, this has nothing to do with coop.
If it's 'moddable' that means on Day 1 I can change a line in an .ini file or a hex value in a .dll and unlock all the day 1 pre-order deluxe edition DLC. Right? But GSC are not going to let you do that. So, for all the talk (lies) about modding the reality will be that you can barely change anything. The 'tools' will suck and only be required because they didn't build the game with modding in mind. It will be closed with only certain things allowed to be tweaked.
It's kind of obvious. Everyone is so hype but I think it's going to be a major letdown and I've been waiting 17 years.
lmfao that aged well
