Embargo lifts 2 hours before release 9am EST - Reviewer thinks Stalker would win GOTY if considered for this year

Yes its late, but when he says it considered for GOTY, than the game must be good/very good. Also people who play the game at the moment, also said the game is good.
Many people don't want to hear it, but it seems that the game is good ;)

Yeah I'm hyped. I wanna add I was also talking to a guy on reddit who was playing it early and here's his opinion: It was his first stalker game, he couldn't comment on the AI or A-life because it was still early in the game, he said it felt like Far Cry 2 in a positive way, he said the gunplay felt worse than metros. And then finally that the audio is amazing and the way the gunshots crack sounds great and audio might be the games strongest suit.

Guy in video said he would rate Stalker 2 8 or 9 out of 10 that's pretty good

The reviews only dropping two hours before release is not a good sign tbh. What are they trying to hide?

Nah normal for game now a day nothing special about this. You might not like it but it review embargoes are normal now a days

I just want to point out, if the tweet was deleted, it might have been deleted by the tweeter because it contained an error. One such error COULD be that they stated the incorrect time for the review embargo to be lifted. They could for example have gotten the day wrong.

It has been deleted because embargo lift date is officially under NDA... but other reviewers confirmed that date. I won't post link here but if you are interested about video coming directly from journalist confirming that date feel free to add and DM. It's on YT but I believe linking that here is simply forbidden.

By the way... twitter post made by someone from Insider Gaming = pretty much date confirmed. There is no better source than Tom Henderson's employee.

With how rabid and reactionary all fandom has become online id be cautious and avoid it, especially if im a small studio in a warzone without a a corporate marketing machine and pr department.

Might be a suggestion/contract obligation to MS too. Seems they dont want to do pre release sharing of keys.

I respect it, it only ever helps the unscrupulous content creators that are starting to farm game reviews for controversy.
