Worried about performance
Considering a mid/high end PC I am worried that the good performance depends exclusively on the dlss/frs technology. Imagine that without them enabled the game will run at low fps on a 4070 super for example?

Lately games are very dependent on these technologies and I'm afraid that STALKER 2 will abuse them.

It's just UE5 game, if other UE5 games working fine, then this game also run fine for you

Games depend on optimisation technologies ? NO WAY!!! You folks would die if you experienced Crysis times when even few years after it's release you could not get stable 60FPS.

Theres a very Big Difference between Lazy Develpers who use DLSS/FSR as a crutch to "improve" Performance or simply having it as an Option for People that want to play in 4k.

Nice, i will play on 1080p cuz i can't effor a 1440p monitor, i suppose that 1080p would run with extra fps
It's gonna be fine.. I'm also on rtx 4070, silent hill 2 remake have good amount of fps with DLSS on with 1440p, here is gonna be similar experience, no need to be worrying.

You'll be fine at 1080p ultra without upscaling.

Wukong is a good indicator of performance in modern UE5 games, check that and you'll know what to expect.

People who have their hands on XBOX version claim that game runs perfectly fine on Performance mode with some issues on Quality mode. Given that it's a console version we can make an assumption that it's gonna run reasonably well on PC. I hope

I know gsc, it will be terrible, they cant make games normally, stalker 1 even nowadays laggy peace of code
Do you have anything else to add to your venting at GSC under each and every post here?

I had to cancel my pre-order due to the new hike in system requirements.

The issue I have is not only the increase, but also that you basically NEED upscaling in order to get anything done with this game and my rig is not capable of doing that.

i7 8700K
GTX 1080Ti - overclocked to RTX 4060 rastarization power - but again, I can't use upscaling (real upscaling like DLSS, not FSR)

Also, I would need to play on 1080p, which means upscaling in general sucks.

By that logic no, it's not. It's going to be a bad port as per usual.
