So I wouldn’t put anything past Stalker enemies.
The AI has been training for this day. Aiming at ceilings to uselessly fire at enemies they are perfectly tracking with psychic powers. (No wonder 90% of fights are not multi level unless it is them shooting down at you. watching NPCs be cheaters at eachother while still needing you to babysit them is WILD)
Waiting for the day they unlock Darksouls "Can maim your ankles by attacking upwards through a ledge" powers.
But yeah. Until proven otherwise I am expecting industry standard "YOUR bullets will be stopped by the invisible mesh around a wooden fence post, THEIR bullets will perfectly fire through a chain link fence" style videogame impenetrable air on one side, cover as a suggestion on the other.
Hey!
Large objects, such as buildings, large walls, etc. will not be destroyed. At the same time, most of the small barriers and objects of the environment can be destroyed and shot through, with powerful enough weapons.
