Should I be concerned about mods breaking whenever mod support comes?
I have played many games (not related to he stalker series or can be compared to) like arma 3, dayz, fallout 4, and gta v where they get updates that break many mods in their game + cause them to be neglected at times. And you can't downgrade them to the previous version or at least it can be tedious to do if possible.

I'm concerned that the modding scene for this is going to face the same issue and not allow us to at least downgrade back to older versions of the game. I fear that many mods may break after getting updates and reduce the amount of mods we can play. Am I fearmongering too much or is it a justified concern?

No, you should not be concerned about anything you have no power to change. And certainly about thing nobody has any idea about. Such concerns would be silly atm.

Mods can break the Game if it's been updated, even minor updates. IF using Mods in the future i always suggest to wait for Modders to Update their Mods just in case it does happen.
