Can wait for the game to launch. Find out which areas are demanding, find out which settings to tweak for lower performance hardware, then try the game in the more demanding area and refund the game if performance tanks. Some issues may take over an hour to appear so be weary. DDR4 ram is cheap can buy the game later at a discount and use the money you save to upgrade your ram. Also might not be a game ending issue since windows manages memory pretty well. Single channel (1 stick) is a noticeable decrease in performance.
If your system is totally incapable of playing the game. An Xbox is a far cheaper option than trying to do a major upgrade to a pc. And stalker 2 will have full mouse and keyboard support on Xbox.
It's not an ideal solution. But it's a solution for a worst case scenario
