We don't know what those settings are yet (although people experienced doing performance testing probably have some really good guesses what they will be), but there will be performance reviews that appear either in the day or so before release, or certainly no more than 2 days after release, that give you solid suggestions for settings to tweak to gain more performance.
I personally always check performance reviews, and tweak settings to give up some visual quality and gain performance. I like games that look good, but also I am not personally actually that discerning about many visual details, so tweaks that give up some visual quality are just the kind of thing that suits me well.
