Correct. Cracking the game thru a Steam preload is not feasible.

For a preload, Steam downloads the distribution under very strong encryption, and does not distribute the keys. When the game is released, a very small update is made available to download, and that update contains the key to decrypt, and starts the decryption process. Once all of the distribution files are decrypted (which requires disk i/o and CPU, but no network), the game is ready to play.

We don't know why the publisher is not offering preloads on Steam. Some have speculated that the issue is a fear of the game getting cracked, but for Steam preloads, that should not technically be possible. Other reasons might be that Epic game store does not support preloads, and maybe for some reason the publisher does not want to have preloads on one store if they can't offer preloads on all of the stores - GSC has not said anything about 'why' no preloads on Steam, only that no PC store would receive preloads.

chill the game dosent disapear its still gonan be on steam ect you can wait a bit theres 100s ohter games to play while donwload why people in sutch a hurry XD

Nah It's not about that, Not everyone has Super Fast internet that can download the game within minutes.

Even for me, it might take 5-6 Hours. It just feels good to download the game early and Just Play it on release you know.

Nah It's not about that, Not everyone has Super Fast internet that can download the game within minutes.

Even for me, it might take 5-6 Hours. It just feels good to download the game early and Just Play it on release you know.

so what i download max 1 mbit sec idk dont talk for me and it takes 2 -3 days for me ian mot unhappy for that

I am personally very sympathetic to people wanting a preload. Preloads are a feature that is not trivial to implement, yet the feature exists - clearly the Steam service operators feel that the feature is valuable enough to develop and maintain, and many games on Steam do use the preload feature.

There is no preload on PC, already confirmed. So you are genuinely mad at the devs for nothing <- Took met less than 5 seconds to Google.
