PSA: Do not go into this expecting the GAMMA/Anomaly STALKER experience

A friend and I were discussing this. We agreed that a lot of people will be blinded by the fact that the age old first game and all of its standalone additions were combined into one game with a massive map and an IMMENSE amount of weapons, customization options and huge changes to factions and ongoing faction combats in the world... all of these things were not part of the Vanilla experience, and were compiled over time to eventually culminate in the Anomaly mod and eventually the G.A.M.M.A. mod pack.

Expecting STALKER 2 to be anything like those will result in disappointment. HOWEVER, seeing as they are fully onboard with full mod support, it's likely that we'll see similar mods drastically overhauling the game in the future. I know we've all been waiting for this for years. I'm excited, but I also know what I'm getting into. With what's been showcased, STALKER 2 will have one of the best foundations for a game of this type. We will have one hell of a playground. Enjoy it. It will only get better with time and effort from the modding community.

I've said my piece. Most of this comes from my friend anyway. I'm pretty well just parroting his viewpoints. BUT. He's right.

just ignore the weirdo trilogy purists. even if gamma and anomaly isn't someones cup of tea, to say they're trash or bad is just straight trolling. I personally enjoy them much more than the base games. Much much much more...

Anyways I'll probably still buy stalker 2 on release if its not too unreal enginey and the AI is at least on par with the old games OR HOPEFULLY BETTER (not holding my breath though idk). I'll look forward to Stalker 2 Anomaly in a decade. It will probably still come out before Scam Citizen.

I know it is. Just watching the videos I can see it. I don't know how to explain it, maybe its the over saturation of unreal games, god i just HATE the feel of them and the micro stutters that plague the engine. XRAY come back :( even if the devs said you were difficult, you were different

Is there some tests or valid in-depth reviews that prove that?

A google search? Playing a handful of UE5 games? If you're talking about Stalker 2 then obviously no cause it's not out yet

I don’t have those issues in SH2, AW2, Lords of the Fallen, Wukong, Remnant 2, Everspace 2, Manor Lords, or Satisfactory.

TBF if the devs knew what the community enjoyed I.E gamma and anomaly they could have tailored their game to those people and everyone would be happy, But im sure most devs have an Ego of Himalayan mountains and refuse to view the community products as viable. As it is right now this game looks like a Metro-Clone which Metro was a Stalker clone so we have went full circle like Ouroboros

I have played all the originals and anomaly/gamma. They are both really great. I don't care what experience I get, it's going to be fantastic either way. A new stalker game after all this time. Never thought I would see they day.
