Ranking the Stalker games

I have only played SoC and HoC. I would rank SoC better because of the more in-depth A-Life and less walking around empty maps. I'm curious how players who've played the other games would rank them.

Of course you do - SoC is the one where A-Life couldn't be implemented fully. They didn't really get it working right until CS, but show me one person that didn't call that a nightmare buggy mess. It was only with CoP that the studio got MOST of the kinks worked out.

I love this series. I don't think you know it as well as you think you do.

I haven't finished HoC yet, so not ranking it. After I'm done with it, I'm probably gonna have it at #1 or #2 spot.

HoC is not a Stalker game yet, so it doesnt belong on a list like this. When they implement the STAPLE that made stalker, A-Life, we can talk.

Right now its just a open world shooter, with cinematic COD cutscenes and a really bad spawnsystem.

And i stand by that.

true and they wont be able to make A.Life2 working because of the open world in Stalker 2... they should let the game in maps like the old games.... it is already segmented with only some ways you can enter in some maps.... like the bridge to Garbage, like the Yanov station to Pripiat, the gate in SIRCA, like the 3 pathways for the Island... and so on, i wonder why the chose the open world to destroy performance....

Why does it? Gimme the list.

It does nothing better except visuals, and gunplay.

Everything else is below the old games, thats my opinion, and even objective at some points.

How is this better?

Clear Sky is my personal fav because of the faction system.
Shadow Of Chernobyl is the most satisfying due to the least hand-holding.
Call of Pripyat is a condensed complete package with all the good ideas from the first 2 but its a bit on the short side.

HoC>SoC>CS>CoP . Best story, graphics, giant open world of the zone, gun play + everything else we love about the STALKER series
