What's Your PC Specs and Settings?
Just wondering what everyone is getting. I keep hearing WILD stories of people on 4090s getting 40fps, and a couple on 1660 Supers getting decent framerate. Mine?

Intel i5 11400F
32GB RAM
RTX 4060
-------------
high/epic @ 1080p
70-100fps, dips to 40-50 in Rostok

I'm on HIGH settings and EPIC on textures, view distance, vegetation, and effects.

Hey bro your CPU is the problem, you are getting CPU bottlenecked especially in town like rostok. Your CPU is too weak to push the 4090 and cant keep up with processing everythinh going on. I have a 4090 and a ryzen 9800x3d and i play with 120 to 150 fps in rostok with no problem, so changing the graphics setting doesnt do anything when u cpu limited. If u wanna get better fps u need to buy a new processor.
So which part of the CPU?
Clock speed? Core count? Cache size?
I think that clock speed might be a decent factor given my own 12C/24T CPU.
Could try overclocking it, but I'm not sure how high I can push it while remaining stable, and how much performance gain that'll give me compared to... upgrading.

Motherboard, PSU watts and certification, RAM speeds, and case ventilation/cooling are also massively important to one's system running rock solid.

A generic PSU rated at only Bronze certification, can really hold one's big, badass graphics card back. Smooth, reliable power is a must for today's power hungry
high-end systems.
Sorry, you lost me at the part where you got no clue what an 80Plus certification actually means.
80Plus is one very simple thing: efficiency. Efficiency at turning that raw throbbing 240V mains into delicious 3,3V, 5V and 12V that your motherboard and other PC parts use. With the efficiency part being how much waste energy it needs to draw to get the required wattages on each of those.

Yes, voltage ripples are a thing, and stuff like that, but 80Plus has zero to do with any of that. And there's no real certification system for it either. Even well-respected brands can have models that are a bit of a bust (or bang in case of Gigabyte).
But for the most part, voltage is voltage, and as long as it doesn't fluctuate too much, your PC won't care as much either.

Forgive me for generalizing... I was keeping it simple, without going into the deets of what a PSU has to do and why it's important. I should have said "generic PSU without any certification is likely going to hold your vidcard back". My point was more regarding the use of crappy OEM non-namebrand PSUs, maybe I overemphasized the certification. Oh the horror ;-)

I used a non-cert'd generic OEM PSU in my very 1st gaming PC build back in 2001. It was rated at more than enough wattage for my system's needs, but had no certification, and it went kaput on me after 4 mos. Now, I only use major brand, certified PSUs and my personal preference is nothing below Silver. YMMV.

"as long as it doesn't fluctuate much"
"Much"? How about almost not at all? Those fluctuations can have a noticeable impact on how one's components run at load. And it's at load, where it counts the most, imo. And imo, pairing a generic non-cert'd PSU to a high-end, power hungry system is just a recipe for issues. Maybe YMMV, but mine experience is what it is.

Playing at 4k Native with DLAA. get anywhere between 45-75fps (area dependent).
Average is 55-60FPS
RTX 4090 ROG Strix OC
6800mhz 32GB RAM
14900KF (running at intel extreme profile with latest BIOS)
Z790 Dark Hero ROG
Win 11 24H2

- was running 23H2 due to the 14th gen 24h2 issues but upgraded this week and FPS is more consistent, guess Microsoft patched the issues with 14th gen.

lol sheesh thats what I get with a 7900 XT at 4k epic with just native scale 100%

They really need to fix this for Nvidia users in this case.

Intel i9-14900KS, Nvidia RTX 4080, 96GB of RAM (DDR5 at 6400). 3440x1440 resolution (panoramic monitor). Bunch of Samsung 990 PRO SSDs. Everything is on epic. Getting mostly 60+ FPS. One time in the Rostok location FPS dropped to 2-3. Then the game crashed. But I saved it right before this happened. Never had this issue again.

After doing some research, I'm running a mix of all settings but, mostly Epic.

1080p locked at 75 FPS. I'm getting a stable 75 FPS everywhere. I do see about a 2~3 FPS drop as I approach bases but it kicks back up to stable after a few seconds...

Ryzen 7 2700x, 16GB DDR4 3000, RTX 3070

Most settings at epic detail (only had to set hair to low, and disable light shafts) 1080p with DLSS set to DLAA, FSR3 Framegen On, Nvidia Reflext set to Ultra (to stop input lag) CUDA Sysmem Fallback Policy set to Off (to allow longer play before the drop to 4fps happens)

with these settings I can play for anywhere from 3 hours to 6 hours before drop to 4fps happens, when its running normally its about 70 - 80fps everywhere accept for rostok

@Zed_leppelin: I've tested all of them and not a single grahics mod did improve the performance. Maybe my RX 6750XT isn't the suitable gpu for that. I will hope for updates, but i doubt that even the final state will satisfy me regarding a smooth framerate.
