Find stashes in Lesser Zone.
Find stash in Garbage.
Etc.
So the quest is... quite long, since there's a few stashes you can't access without progressing the main story.
As Nishi and Ampee stated, the extra quest is just a zone-ranging quest to find all the bonus stashes that you paid for, which are called "Journalist" stashes. And these stashes are not all that easy to reach, and some are guarded. Some of the stashes contain "unique weapons", which are some of the standard weapons but already have some attachments or special colors or models.
I got the Deluxe edition, since I wanted the extra quest, but was disappointed that the bonus quest was simply to find all the special stashes.
There are at least two Journalist stashes in the starting zone (Lesser Zone), and the some of the equipment was useful to help get thru the first zone a little easier, if you are playing the base game without mods.
But if you plan to play a modded game, to make your weapons tougher or enemies weaker, then you don't really need the Journalist stashes or spend the extra money on the Deluxe edition.
But Ultimate will give you ''Season Pass, granting 2 additional expansions and any future DLC'', which sounds much better than a single quest.
