Stuck at yaniv, guide NPC and watertower NPC gone

The Guide NPC and the watertower NPC appear to be gone, nowhere to be found.

Anyone have any idea how to get past this, I have some previous saves. Already retried the battle again but no luck the second time.

There is nothing you can do about the guide NPC. The moment you load or re-load the game after mission to defend the station from Monolith attack, the guide will be gone. I, however, did not have an issue with Richter, he was there as always.

Hopefully, you have a save before triggering the attack. Try to replay it and see if the game triggers the script correctly. Reload auto-save where you are in different location, make a hard save and travel to Yaniv. I took a nap in bed after I arrived as it was already late and visibility outside was low. I spoke to NPC at the trader, went to bed and fought the battle next morning. Made a hard save in Rostok before traveling to Yaniv, hard save before sleeping and quick-save next morning before opening the doors and triggering the radio message from Richter.

What do you mean by this, how do you trigger it?

Mh nah tried it again, multiple times in different ways. There is no one in the tower.

I also don't have a marker on the map btw, which I presume should be there but isn't because the npc is gone.

The event starts when you open the doors and make 1 or 2 steps outside. You should get radio message from Richter warning about incoming Monolith attack. If this does not play, you clearly have bugged quest. You should try to load a save as far as possible from Yaniv and see if you go there from that save to see if anything changes. However, it seems that once you broke the script for whatever reason, you might not be able to reset it by reloading other earlier saves.

Ah alright, yeah I never heard any radio message when I went outside. The attack just started as a surprise. I was also wondering what was going on.
