They chuck grenades like candy in mine.
Ok must be a mod then.
They still throw too many grenades. For me it seems that the patch did change nothing.
While they can throw a lot at times, they do tend to only throw one at a time. Only a couple times have I had the situation of avoid one grenade to run into another. That happened all the damn time in Clear Sky.
They also aren't nearly as accurate. Sure a few times they came in close to where you hear it plunk next to you, but its not like it was in Clear Sky, where every enemy was an NFL quarterback able to put it right on your location from 40 (or even 50 or 60) yards every damn time. Here, I notice quite a few land short, hit an obstacle, or even bounce past.
Lastly, they advertise the throws a lot more. So many times in Clear Sky, you wouldn't notice the grenade until it explodes by you. Here they almost always state a voice line that advertises them throwing a one.
Otherwise, its just a solid fact that, yeah lots of enemies carry grenades, pretty much half of everyone has at least one. Kill them before any are thrown, and you can collect quite a bit to sell off. Most likely your seeing the results of each of your multiple enemies, each taking a turn throwing their grenade, as opposed to any one enemy spamming grenades.
That explains it, as I have a mod reducing loot from enemies. Honestly I just thought the NPCs spawned infinite grenades like they do with ammo so did not realise they actually carry them to throw them.
And yea you are right this game is WAY better with grenades than OG Stalker, even though it is still annoying.
I had some close calls, but that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ had a rocket propelled grenade while the other one had an under barrel grenade launcher. Beware later on, while rare you may be surprised by the occasional enemy with one of the rifles with built in grenade launcher and sometimes they will also have a proper round for it. Then way later you may see a few guys with rpg and a couple rounds on back.
