Can you run in an Exoskeleton?

I've picked up 2 exoskeletons from random drops. One was a Merc and one was a Spark exoskeleton, and I could run in both of them. Then I bought a Freedom Exoskeleton from a merchant, and now I can't run in it.

It's worth noting that both the Merc and Spark Exoskeletons had glitches, such as showing up as though I was wearing no armor.

You can run in Exoskeleton but you have to buy the upgrade for it.

Not 100% sure, but i think there is only one exoskeleton where you can not run and that is the "cuirass exoskeleton". This doesnt have a upgrade for running.

Maybe you need to find a blueprint for a Sprint upgrade? Did you check your upgrade section of an exo-skeleton BEFORE you started using it? Several suits or exos have their own blueprints. Just to make sure, try clicking on the Sprint part and see if it turns green. It doesn't catch every time so if you have picked up an upgrade but didn't stick, try reloading.
Similar thing happened to my Diamond Exo.
