in nvidia control panel you can choos eho wmutch GB allocate to shader
you have standard, 5gb 10gb 100gb unlimited
An old SSD needs about 20-25% of total capacity for reading/writing. A new SSD about 10%.
On an old 1TB SSD that makes about 200-250GB for reading/writing. With a new 1TB SSD you get away with about 100GB. If you have less free space than that your SSD slows down and will also worn out earlier.
About a month ago or so I made a test installing the game on a HDD and my compiling time increased from less than 30 seconds to 2m 30s. i9 14th gen k, 64GB ddr5 ram at 6000.
Now with the new patch 1.4 it takes about 2-3 seconds. (on a SSD)
In the end the time needed to compile shaders is on your side.
I suggest you check that all your drivers, OS and BIOS are up to date. And also make sure you have the space needed for your SSD to write/read as it should and dont worn out earlier.
