1.4 Update - Game Crashes on Shader Compilation
After the update, the language changed in the pre-launch popups, and the game won't even manage to start compiling shaders now. I have no mods to cause issues. It just doesn't boot, now.

Specs:
Ryzen 9 7950X
64GB RAM
RTX 4090
Driver Version 572.83

At least we can share in our inability to play together!

No crash here - Steam, Windows 11 (latest version), Geforce 5090 (latest driver), 32gb RAM.

That's fantastic! Because I'm on a Ryzen. Not a very helpful post in general since, as stated, it's an issue that appeared after the update.

Same exact issue, langauge has changed on the startup screen and it only show the landscape where it tries to compile the shaders then just crashes

Precisely the issue. I've seen devs respond to crashes that happen upon loading saves, but we can't even get that far.

It can't even start the shader compilation on mine. Also, shader compilation not an issue on my end as ive just updated my drivers and monster hunter wilds long shader compilation had no issue

Same here problem langauge change and crashing at shader warm up, I tried installing UETools mod, with it I got to the main menu (installing this mod also reverted my langauge to english) but now it crashes when I try to load my save file.

Same problem. I'll be waiting for the fix-patch.

It's so odd that installing that let you get to the main menu and fixed the language bug. Shame it didn't fix it further, but I think that's good info to share!

Will we ever get a hardware Lumen option to improve the poor quality and unstable lighting. Look to Oblivion Remaster as inspiration that a hardware/software Lumen option is a good hardware platform scalability design choice.
