Enemy Grenades!?
i only just got this game today.
i knew firefight combat was going to be a challenge but i didn't think that was because all the enemy does is throw grenades right at your feet even if you move and flank after the first engagement. its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they have that many frags sent that accurate. not fun at all

That's why they want to change it. Check their roadmap.
NPC's mostly announce when they are throwing grenades, so they are easy to avoid. Many times I shoot the grenade-thrower in the head right before he throws it.

And if you are great with timing, he'll drop the live grenade and take out one or more of the other ones near him.

I don't think you should complain now as they have already nerfed the grenade spam!
I got through the whole game fine when they were throwing grenades almost constantly! It means you need to kill them fast to stop them throwing pineapples at you!

"i dont think you should complain that a problem that neuters firefights due to a grenade being throw every 10 seconds because it USED to be worse some how"
make it make sense guy

Don't stay in one place. Once they know where you are, they will start throwing grenades near that location. Move and flank them, then move again. Rinse and repeat.

one time I might have screwed with spawn times and density but I got like at least 20 grenades thrown at me at once
Also, if you don't like grenade spam from the NPCs, just throw it back at them. After you've accumulated 20+ grenades just take all those grenades with you on your next nature-jog and spam-back the hostile NPCs. You can pretty much eliminate complete squads of the NPCs with little damage to your guns or armor suit that way.

When you throw grenades at the NPCs they will stop shooting at you and try to run, then they get knocked down by your grenade because they run in a zig-zag fashion and don't get out of the blast radius. Then when knocked down you throw another grenade to finish them off.

Stop making stuff up and overuse exclamation marks to try and convey points, you can't be taken serious anyway. The devs not once touched the grenades issue in the recent patch or in any other patch thus far. It's still the same since launch.
If grenade throwing would be an olympic discipline this guys would be on world record level.

They love to throw grenades on your position and they never miss. If you hear the sound of a grenade landing next to you prepare to lose half of your hitpoints and use the 15 seconds of stun animation to heal yourself.

There is a mod on Nexus that makes the enemies grenades a little bit less accurate.

If u run then they can track u. Same applies to u- u can track them on compass and by voice.
In Veteran I didnt have much money to repair guns, so I started to throw nades at enemies also- u also have constantly 100 nades at ur disposal.
Nades are meant for thos purpose, to flush enemies out of cover.

Look at how "pushes" are executed in CoD/Warzone- first goes nade into window and then players follow.

True after 1.1.4 the enemy tracking was tuned down and in 1.3 it was back on 1000 but if u crouch and crawl away from ur position u can loose the enemies tracking u.
If u walk or run they can spot u- I mean ure mostly carrying 50-60kg of equipment so u would obviously make noise like pack of elephants while running.

On the other hand when I get Exo I like to sprint at enemis: Thump- thump- thump, " knock, knock, whos there?" " My good friends Mr Texan and Ms Spirit";) and delete them from the zone.

I have very different experience. Disclaimer: I'm on Rookie difficulty (but I played on Veteran for a good while before scaling down and I didn't notice any difference in this regard on Veteran).

They do use grenades, but not extremely often, you can hear the warning shout a couple seconds before the actual throw, if you look in their general direction you can see the grenade in flight for another 2-3 seconds, you can hear the grenade land nearby (and no, they do not "track" you, they land where they were thrown to, you can easily run to safe distance when you spot them in flight), and even after it landed you still have a good second to take a few steps away that will likely mean you will get severely injured but survive.

To me it feels just right. It forces you out of cover, may injure you if you are too stubborn (or busy with shooting at something) to move when you got all those warnings, but if you actually respond to them as you should, they are not that dangerous. There are far more "unfair" enemy behaviours in the game than grenades from human enemies.

I played 7 hour its still the same dumb AI. Sure they throw grenades slightly differently, but they just run around like idiots like AI usually do. They dont still spot you from tower for example, even you are fighting down. Animals attack you, then go run elsewhere.

Ive no idea where this "challenge combat" comes from. Maybe I played too little time. Doom gives you fun and challenge.

YES! NPC announce granade throwing with various phrases. I ussually RUN to another position or just run forward a bit - it helps too.
