Detectors and artifacts

Search but didnt find an answer: can you find all types of artifacts with all 4 detectors, or do you need the best detector to find the best artifacts, i.e can you find an arch-artifact with the Echo-detector?

Yes, all detectors work for all artifacts. However, you don't actually use detectors for the unique ("weird") artifacts as they are all locked behind puzzles.

All arch-artefact have no beep sound and wont show on your scanner, The other normal artefacts will always show on your detector no matter the one you use.

How far I play, i can say - no, I have only two detectors, Echo and Hilka, I found already enough a lot Legendary artifacts and also "weird" artifacts.
Maybe with Hilka its a bit easy, because you see how much m left till artifact spawn location, but I found as weird, as legendary also with Echo.

The Veles detector is the best. It shows range & direction of the artifact, plus nearby anomalies.

I think they intentionally moved away from the system we had in Call of Prypjat because detector availability is (at least in part) tied to main story progression.

No the Bear detector is the best. As it clearly shows full green ring whenever u are on the spot. Veles just shows some red dot in random place, though its good for navigating anomalies.

Though to me it felt like the better detectors "catched" the artifact easier, they didnt jump around as much...
