After the patches is Rat Killer still good?
I just got the Rat Killer, after completing the related mission, and tested it out for the first time against some random Ward exoskeleton soldiers North of Rostok. I saved my game before battling the Wardens, then reloaded using either Rat Killer or the Zubr-19. I upgraded the Rat Killer to the same specs as my Zubr-19. Used regular ammo for both (9x18 for RatKiller, 9x19 for Zubr).

After several combat tests with the Wardens I found the performance for both guns to be about the same, except the Zubr had about a half-bar longer range than the Rat Killer. I also equipped both weapons with suppressors and their range increased by half a bar (which I didn't realize suppressors increased range on these weapons).

After finishing testing the Zubr-19 felt like a more effective weapon with all upgrades being equal, with no blueprint upgrades on both. And the Zubr-19 I seemed to be causing the exoskeleton Wardens to stagger more from headshots compared to the Rat Killer.

Did the developers make any changes to nerf the Rat Killer since release, or does it feel like the Rat Killer still performs the same way on Veteran difficulty as a top-tier weapon, for those who still prefer to use it?

I recall the YouTuber IcedCoffeeGamer said the Rat Killer might one-tap the late-game exoskeletons (not sure if with AP ammo or not). But when I ran regular ammo against these Warden exo-skeletons it was taking 4 to 5 tap to the head to take them down.

I wanted to see if anyone else noticed some performance changes in the Rat Killer after patches, or if I just didn't test properly and the Rat Killer is still one of the best.

As I really want to use the Rat Killer, but the results of my 30-minute combat testing diminished my enthusiasm.

They have almost identical stats. The lower range and damage drop-off of the Ratkiller is caused by the different caliber. It's 25m to 20m and 12m to 9.5m.
