I also have a 5080 with latest drivers and a 9800X3D.
I'm not having any issues at all? Framerate is stable and I've never had audio issues, not on this system or my previous system.
I have a 5080 and a AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. But I can tell you, The Last of Us works very well; it's not a computer issue. I have the latest Nvidia drivers, and I just cleared the DirectX cache using Disk Cleanup. It's all so weird when I open Stalker 2, the main menu locks me to 60fps, when I normally can handle 120fps, among other problems
Clear the shader cache in the game directory too and verify your game files.
Not sure if this is still up to date...

Nothing works, I've tried everything. Even lowering the resolution to 1080p, I still get low fps. it's ridiculous
With DLSS, I've even tried it on ultraperformance, but the fps are between 44 and 58, the only way they go up is when looking at the ground. When I play on my default settings in 4K on high with DLSS, looking straight ahead it drops to 44 or less, however looking at the ground I could reach 90. I don't know what's going on, it's totally broken. Maybe if I buy it on Steam it will be different
All graphic settings are set to Epic, vsync is off and FOV is 100.
So yeah, something very odd is going on. The game is quite demanding on the CPU.....
Did you bought the ultimate edition? Did you get the preorder bonus too?
I have some news, apparently with high graphics, DLSS in quality and FG activated I get around 80-100 Fps but I don't notice the game is smooth, I don't know what it can be, I'm trying things. I have Windows hardware acceleration activated and in the Nvidia control panel, I have vsycn and gsync compatible activated + triple buffering. Little by little I may be able to enjoy it. Do you have any advice on the latter? I was thinking that having that activated in Windows might make it difficult for me to get the smoothness of the image. By the way, where is this frame generation that I saw in x1, x2, x3, is it only in some games?
Finally decided to return it. I'm not going to go crazy with a game that doesn't work well. I'm not the only one having problems. I hope Steam can refund me. I bought it for the second time on Steam
Steam won't allow refunds. I sent them an essay on this games issue and my refund keeps getting declined, somebody needs to do something about this. It's probably on some kind of automated system and they're not even looking at it. This game is totally broken and unplayable at this point.
Anyone should be allowed a refund if they want one. There is no early access warning for this game and you charged AAA prices. I've been on steam for 20 years and this is up there at this point with some of the worst offenders that I've seen. This is criminal at this point.
This product is a complete scam.
Yes.
You forgot one thing, The Last of Us II doesn’t use Stutter Engine 5.
I’m with 4090 and I had similar experience, TLOU 2, which is a 5 years old game looks better and plays better than this.
