Hot on the trail - Find Strider bug - not spawning

Hi,

Does anyone else have this bug, and was able to fix it?

During my visit to the Moontide base, I finally have a short talk with Dubny, and he tells me to go find Strider.

I'm supposed to go to the room with the radioactive waste, and he's supposed to be with the scanner. However, I only see the two corpses there, and the scanner is active - but no Strider.

I tried loading a slightly earlier save, but he still doesn't spawn where he should be.

Has anyone been able to circumvent this bug?

Any help would be much appreciated, because I'm rather stuck here.

OK, just wandering around in the room, suddenly I meet with an invisible Strider - turned off the machine, and then things worked well again.
