It's part of the Game, the same also for the freezes where you then need to spend time to kick the Task somehow and restart. It's immersion breaking for sure, but hey
everything will be included in my review roflmao
Also 1.2 was more stable than 1.3 for me.
And 1.3 also introduced Inventory corruption for me.
Btw. The Inventory Corruption i get was also noticed on Xbox, so it has 100% nothing to do with mods. It happens if you hoard stuff like hundreds of red weapopns in Stash to later sell to ragman etc. If you then get all the stuff to sell it happens that stuff overlaps, and then Inventory gets corrupted. So yeah Inventory Corruption is confirmed. This is also linked to Memory Leak in Rostok somwhow, but is also happing in Zalysia Stash.
In Windows 10 when using Ctrl+Alt+Del you have the option to restart in down right corner.
If you check "Always on top" in Taskmanager settings you can use Taskmanager to close the game at a crash.
Game is definitely not stable and does this consistently after a few hours of playing.
I do alt-tab a lot so maybe tabbing out is doing something but either way it isn't stable.
Especially the sluggish feeling in combat is more than frustrating. I'd really like to give the game a 10 out of 10, but the crashes and sluggish gameplay ruined it for me - I give it a 6 out of 10.
they will literally lob a grenade over a hill they can't even see over directly on top of you. My god wtf is this game?
Yeah but I have to push the red X about 500 times before it finally ends and I can restart.
It also always says Warning: Stalker2-Win64-Shipping.exe (Random PID) used 175358369792 Bytes (That's 175GB) but there is only 64GB Ram so it uses up all Ram and then eats Virtual Ram anduntil it crashes. LOL!
Last TIme I also saw an "Administrator: Warning" Window but unfortunately no text just black, so dunno what this what about, but probably something about all Memory used up or so.
Right click on Stalker in Taskmanager and use "End task"

GSC team, my friends, please wake up.
What the hell is wrong with this software? Seriously, the timing of this things release has completely screwed it up on so many layers. It ran horrendously at launch, only a high performance computer could get through the slog but then basically everything else was wrong with the game itself. Particularly, with messed up spawns for quest givers etc.
So, I called that 50+ hour save a done deal, and have decided to stick my head in to see if the game is stable enough for another solid crack at it. F------ nope. The damn thing hangs at launch and I'm left wondering why the hell I succumbed to the hype. I've played through most of the series over the course of the past almost 20 years and I certainly have enjoyed enough of the in-game time to come back, but this isn't fun any more in the slightest.
Microsoft gives zero information about why they're having so many stability issues in there own right, other than the usual, so every update breaks the entire gaming software stack on PC. So I do feel for developers, truly but as a consumer this is infuriating and its soured me on the whole game at this point.
Further, as I was typing this, the game suddenly animated from its hung state and its now deciding to compile its shaders.
