Grenade Spam and a Fix
Okay so lets be honest, the AI grenade spam is not just kinda unrealistic at times but also can be annoying and repetitive.

It isnt a bad thing that they throw nades, or that there isnt any visual indicator because that is immersive, but it is bad how often they do it and how much it makes fights all the same.

So heres my solution: (Please note that I havent been playing long so they may already do some stuff here)

1. They should throw grenades less often BUT when they do, they should use it as part of a push, in order to suppress, or in order to kill. Generally, they should throw grenades in the beginning, and more well armed and well trained groups could probably throw them more often and start using them in CQB. Depending on an enemy's experience, they would either throw more or less.
2. Limit enemy grenade counts. It feels like everybody has one, and while yes the player doesnt have a really hard time finding grenades, i dont see a lot of people using grenades (atleast not right) because the AI are smart enough to run. More well equipped groups should be armed with more, and they should probably have a standard amount of grenades, whilst your average stalker probably shouldnt.
3. Replace times when they may be using grenades with different tactics. More organized units may use bounding overwatch whilst others may suppress and move. Adding on to this, they could do larger moves like a pincer which would be harder to deal with but would also be called out more clearly.
4. AI fear and flinch. AI should probably be more scared when im sending multiple rifle rounds to their position. More combat hardened AIs probably wouldnt be, but just as the AI could suppress you, you should be able to suppress them. The flinch mechanic might make it too easy but rn when they get hit, i dont see much of a difference..

Ngl I didnt have much time to make all of this, so lmk if you have any ideas.

Not everybody should throw grenades. Like crappy bandits should do it very rarely or not at all whereas good equipped soldiers would do it more.
> Malnourished bandit dude respawns out of thin air, sees you in wide open, holsters his weapon which was already pointing at you and yells: "♥♥♥ him up with a grenade"...

The AI is mostly A without the I.

I mean, end game they're all wearing exoskeletons that for some reason the game doesn't let you loot off them... you just have to accept the game mechanics meant to inject artificial difficulty into the game.

I'm fine with the combat, less fine with the end game endless respawn mechanic of monolith. There should be a 5 minute cooldown after eliminating 20-30 monolith in a building... they shouldn't respawn in seconds in a constant, neverending stream.

The population of the entire zone is probably maybe 500 people tops, so how are 100 monolith magically spawning in front of my eyes.

Yeah I mean, i think bandits shouldnt do it rarely, they should use them often but not every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time they decide to use a tactic. They are using grenades right but.. i think it would also make sense if sometimes the less experienced guys didnt

Some areas are not meant to be around, mainly mission areae. Just run away and come back later.
For me nades are fine.
I usually run behind a cover and thens when nades start to fly, bit they are so polite and let me know beforehand by shouting "GRENADE", , so I just run behind other cover.

Ah when every enemy was an NFL quarterback and could put a nade pinpoint at your feet from 60 yards out. Such nostalgia.
