Non Stop crashes
Hello,I bought a pc just to play this game but I am having persistent crashes due to missing shaders or something like that.I am a pc rookie so I have no idea what this means. My pc is running rtx 4080 super,64gb ram, intel 9 14900kf so I dont think the problem is on my end.Can someone from the community offer me an advice or better yet,the devs fix this as soon as possible. I have sent probably over 100 crash reports in the last 3 days

I have like half as good specs so it's probably just something that needs tweaking, although some people still have issues no matter what. From what I hear, if the shader warmup doesn't complete successfully it can lead to crashing, so I usually keep re-starting the game until it successfully finishes the warmup (without skipping it). Couple things you should do for sure is in Nvidia Control Panel, change your Nvidia Shader Cache settings to 10gb (or higher) and change Low Latency Mode to Ultra in your 3d settings.

Also what resolution are you trying to run it at? This one seems to be unable to be ran at 4k currently.

I am running it at 4k,I have 40 hours ingame but the frustration is beyond the charts,I have never experienced anything like this.I will tweak these settings, thanks.Do you think mods can cause the crushes?

Are you in the Rostock area? There is a memory leak if you have too much stuff in your personal inventory box, so if you sell a lot of excess loot that you don't need, you might fix the issue. Also, probably depends on the mod. There is no official mod support yet, so I personally haven't used any mods yet.

I got it to work almost without any crashes.Set my pc on eco mode from the control panel.Too much power was no bueno haha
i had no crashes at all till the most recent hotfix
now it just keeps hard crashing my game
Reduce graphics settings from Epic to the next lower settings, and lower the resolution to 1080p, temporarily, to see if that reduces the crash frequency.

Even though your card can support some of the highest settings, the developer's code cannot handle it on some systems.

I had to drop my graphics settings to 1080p and Medium on most settings, and now I hardly ever crash.

If the crashes still occur then look into a mod on Nexus that improves the graphics performance. Some of those performance mods appear to help reduce crash frequency (can't recommend any specific one).

When I first got Stalker 2 I was crashing every 15 minutes (3 year old Intel PC, 3090 card). I had to upgrade my motherboard bios and that stopped the 15-minute crashes. But then I would crash about once an hour, so reducing the graphics settings cleared up the 1-hour crashes.
