Controller not working, keeps switching to Keyboard

I have an issue that has just developed where the game keeps trying to switch between keyboard and my controller as i'm playing the game. I usually play with an Xbox controller and had no issues until now. Has anyone else had this issue and got a possible fix. I tried connecting and disconnecting the controller. Nothing works.

Try unplugging your mouse ?
Guessing you dont have any macros running on keyboard

Sorry it was on my end. I had to disable the Xbox controller on steam which worked. Thank you for the reply guys :)

I had the same issue when I first started playing Stalker 2 with an Xbox controller. I resolved it by making sure the controller is active, go to the Library, select Stalker 2 and on the right the controller box should pop up, go into the controller settings and click 'enable steam input'. It fixed it for me, I haven't had the issue again, hope it works for you.
