Questions on extreme simplicity
So I have read a lot on this and confusing. I am at the part of meeting scar and strider at the ranger station. I don't want to fight either side so I'm not. If I don't go to sircaa now, can I still do everything in the game? Or should I not even go to the ranger station yet?

Going to SIRCAA progresses the main story which also unlocks some side missions, so no you can't do everything. You can still do a lot however and explore.

What if I hold off on going to sirca now and go explore elsewhere now.

I'm pretty much doing what you did. I did meet them at the Ranger Station and fought the battle, but I have not gone to SIRCAA yet and I'm not going to as I'm continuing to explore the world since there is still quite a bit left.

I'm not in any rush to finish the game since there is no free play after finishing it. I've got over 180 hours into it so far.

You can outpace the storyline by exploring locations yourself, but i do not recommend that. A lot of places on the map in that case will be either emply or have a lot of unavailable doors.
Otherwise, not much difference. There is at least 1-3 subquests in each hub which do not depend on storyline progress - you can start them at any time.

Some missions won't be available and some need you to progress the story. You can do a lot, but it's good to leave a few for later.

Same. I watched the fight but now I'm exploring. Just wish I didn't have to carry this artifact container.

You can access everything on the map up to Yaniv station, but can't access pripyat until you get much further in the storyline, Yaniv has a trader that will upgrade late game gear (such as the saiga D-12 you get from nimble) if you want to get that done earlier for the story to make it easier

What number quest is yaniv station. I also just don't want to lose still being able to talk to everyone at this point.

its like 3/4 of the way into the story, not for a long time from where you are at, its fine to access it early it won't screw anything up, its just another trader/upgrade base for late game

I won't be surprised if the developers add more progression blockers in a later version but for now it is accessible

Kind of socks that we can't still stay neutral in the game and work with both sides.

You probably can but have to figure out what choice to make for what mission to keep it that way, could be a secret ending

I remember when I got to pripyat on last playthrough the stalker apprecuiated my help on a mission but also said they will keep an eye on me since I did accidently select ward on some missions

Actually, you can (at least for one route and in the sense of "not shooting the other guys", as that is just an optional objective. But not forever.
I killed them all there was no consequences and I got so many guns and ammo and new suit
