So, there is already talk behind the scenes of a potential new sequel since this game is making a lot of money. My question is this; How can there be another game in the Zone? The location is finite, the areas know, 4 games have been made.

My only thought that would make it something new, is to have it literally take place from the day after the CNPP meltdown happened. A prequel of sorts. Otherwise, the game is tapped out.

What would your idea be for a future sequel?

The same way ClearSky recycled a lot of ShadowofChernobyl's maps (reworking certain parts) while introducing a few new ones.

The same way Stalker2 recycled a lot of the old trilogy maps and points of interest.

If anything they still have lots of ground to cover to the north of the CNPP (which mods like Lost Alpha already showed some of the original GSC plans for it).

What are you concerned about exactly?

In the future, the Zone could be expanded and the game can take place in other areas.

If they're going to make it bigger they're going to have to give us a mobile base a car or vehicle traveling from one end of the zone to the other is a slog
I don't know how many people have played this but the game "Pacific drive" might be a good example on how a car mechanic could work for the game with some tweaks of course
also give us an ability to fix our own **** skifs is supposed to be a soldier I can't see how he cannot maintain and clean his own damn weapon

Wouldn't that end up to be more like Metro?

For what it's worth, I'd like to see S.T.A.L.K.O.V. Escape from Chernarus

The Zone may be finite, but that doesn't mean we've seen all of it yet. Clear Sky and Call of Prypiat sent us to new areas we hadn't been to in ShoC. There's a lot of fog on the Stalker 2 world map.

More DLC content???

The reason for the existence of the Zone and its anomalies theoretically allows any kind of evolution / twist. I guess the limit is staying faithful (or at least coherent) with the original atmosphere and lore.

In example: what we learn in game(s) about the Zone and the past implies that, theoretically, other anomalous areas could appear in other parts of the World. We could then have another Zone in a whole different settings, be it Japan, Brazil, Canada, the Arctic, or whatever else. It would be lore-compatible, BUT we'd lose the signature abandoned, post-soviet atmosphere.

Wouldn't that essentially make it a non-stalker game? Chernobyl is the identity of Stalker.

"STALKER: Ghosts of Fukushima", of course :)

If they did it would be solid money. It was one of the top 5 strongest earthquakes in recorded history and largest combined disaster (earthquake, tsunami, nuclear meltdown) of this century. The only problem is the real one is pretty clean by now. There's even a museum and tour. There's some pretty gnarly pictures from right after it happened but they would have to make the rest of it up.

Even if it was in New York, it would be a tour de force

They need to finish making this game first

That was precisely my point.

Mentioned in-game is the original experiment site from BEFORE they started working in Chernobyl... That place was where the artifact from the intro for this game actually originated. Would be interesting to get a game set there.

I mean STALKER 2 literally starts with a cut scene OUTSIDE the zone so.........
