Pixelation and issue of what it appears to be related to smoothing/polygons
Hello Stalkers !

So first of all I would like to address this feeling of having the foliage, the sky (especially at night and during post-transmission) have a sort of pixelated rendering, too "sharp", and I tried to adjust the sharpness in the menu.

This effect occurs especially in the distance, sometimes going so far as to form a sort of wall, fortunately not very opaque, of pixelation in the distance.
And it also concerns the foliage which gives the impression that the grass and branches are intertwined with artifacts and/or pixels.

This is also felt in the ambient lighting and effects, for example in areas like the landfill where lots of little leaves are flying through the air, and are all pixelated and interspersed with what appear to be visuals artifacts.

The reflection of the shadow also undergoes this pixelation coupled with constant clipping, which could be reduced by setting the quality of the shadow to High but it remains very "weird".

Suddenly all this gives the impression of a visual disagreement between these famous problems and the other textures which are of extremely good quality and smooth.

I'm not an expert at all but this looks like a problem linked to volumetry and everything that manages the smoothing of polygons (hence the effect that is too sharp or smudgy as opposed to something smooth and fluid.)

Don't hesitate to share an idea or a theory of why or how and possibly a solution, thank you in advance!

- Game Settings: DLSS QUALITY / DLSS FG / All on EPIC except Foliages, Shaders Quality, Hair Quality and Depth of field on HIGH / Blur Effect OFF / V-Sync OFF / FPS Caps at 120 / Borderless Screen / Reflex NVIDIA ON / HDR ON.

- PC Setup: GPU RTX 4070 / CPU RYZEN 7 5700X / 32GB DDR5 MEMORY RAM / SSD HARDRIVE / MONITOR 144Hz VVR ON and FREE-SYNC ON.

EDIT : If you got somes tips to reduce stutterings and latency in somes areas ( essentialy at full of NPC's areas. ) you'll be very welcomed !
I tried the most popular "Reduced Stutters" tweak mod on Nexus but even if I downloaded the after 1.1.3 patch update on the mod, it still stuttering and input lag.
The mod was indeed working better before the 1.1.

EDIT 2 : Monitor = Odyssey G-5 144hz

Turn the image enhancement on your monitor off. Turn the image enhancement on your video card's software off. Turn frame gen off. Turn Gsync/Freesync off.

I have a rtx4070 and Ryzen7 5800x3d. The Nvidia app optimization sets the game to Epic which is nonsense. You won't see a consistent 60fps at those settings. I tried High and it's playable but I don't like the shimmering effect I see all the time.
I set DLSS to DLAA and it's much better. It meant lowering one or two settings like HAIR, motion blur, fog etc but it looks a lot better.

Image enhancement ? Has it got a other terms ? Because It dont remind me nothing

EDIT : I tried to put off Frame Gen when I had a old 60hz monitor and G-Sync activited but it got my game an average of 50fps max and 30/40fps max at towns..

Does my new 144hz Odyssey G-5 can handle more FPS without Frame Gen than my older 60hz monitor ? I Ask because i wont be able to check my computer today

Ok uping DLSS but lowering other Settings could be a solution ? Cause I think lowering things like Shadow Quality will affect more the shadow poppings and pixelisation.
And the Sky/Effects/Fog Settings could cause the weird far pixelisation " wall " and pixelising more the all the flyings Effects aswell ?
And for Foliages I dont even speak about lowering it aha

But Can you gives me your entires Settings pls ? I could help me a lot If you havent got pixelising Effect while having the barely same config as me
And I found 1440p was more smooth than 1080p is this placebo ?
