If you don’t like it then move on, and go play something else.
STALKER has always been more slow paced, the thing is in the previous ones the map was divided by sectors and not a full open world like this one
Metro Exodus may felt better because it was divided into sectors like the previous STALKER games
If a Metro was made open world like this game, you will feel exactly the same dissapointment
That said, don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean the game could get a couple tweaks
I'm over 80 hours in to S2, just hit the mid-game and I cannot wait for the bugs to be fixed so I can fully enjoy my running AND walking around the Zone.
the economy broken with repair cost, the main way to earn money is to sell wepons, you are often overweighted by weapon weight, and need to do alot of travel to go back to a camp and sell your weapon... the stalker 2 map are so big also... if you want to do radiant quest for money, you qre often sent 1km away to do a 30sec objective and need to go back to camp etc...
just give us a bicyle
The whole game design with the encumbrance and green/yellow/red weight meters are dumb.
I can only imagine how many players stopped playing the game after getting encumbered for the 100th time.
I agree. The gameplay loop is ruined because of high repair costs. You do a quest and the bulk of your money just goes to fixing your equipment. You are left to carry half working guns back to base and walk at a snail's pace.
Selling guns isn't the answer though. It should be selling artefacts.... but traders give you stuff all money for them so that there's not much incentive to sell.
You can sell bucketloads of bandages and medkits in addition to ammo though, but who is going to do that when you don't know when you're going to need it?
Some of the design decisions makes a good part on the game not very fun sadly.
I do this in games...lol. I went and looted people and explored. With all the game time I currently have I JUST made it to Zaton and have a fully upgraded pistol, spitter (unique buket-2), Lynx (unique SVD) and a fully upgraded sp 99 suit and I have 200k saved up.... The artifacts are easier to bolt around and get too and they sell for 3000-10000 a pop and they respawn every emission (blowout).
You can do it if you want too!
I don't think I slogged to much. Of course I like to explore everything when I do my playthroughs.
Also if you think about it...the previous STALKER games were like this too. They just didn't have the reapairing mechanics and things like enviromental damage (i.e. anomolies, grenades, etc) also didn't affect equipment in any of the previous games.
