What do you do with all the extra weapons you loot?

I have many broken and almost broken weapons just piling up on the ground. I am still new to the game and have no idea what to do with all these weapons. The vendors around me do not buy them.

Vendors don't buy red weapons. There is one who will but it's best just not to pick up broken weapons until you have money to repair. At least that's how I am playing it.

Just leave them there. Only Ragman in Rostok buys Weapons in Red condition (for a poor price) and they're rarely worth the money since the condition also determines the selling price. In stalker you're not really supposed to pick up everything you find. Also, not all vendors buy/sell every type of item. Typically only weapons dealers will buy weapons for an acceptable price.

Repping weapons to sell doesn't earn you money, it costs you money. Don't do it. I stash all my red weapons in my private loot box and flog them when I get to Rostok. When encumbrance becomes a problem, I stash them somewhere and place a marker for later retrieval.

That grind is key to making enough money to upgrade your stuff.

You can only sell the *yellow marked* ones. The *red marked* Wapons have a too bad condition, so the Vendors won't take it. You can Download a mod, then you can sell the other Wapons.
