stuck on a mission Artifact Not Spawning

not my intention to spoil anything but i've seen this a lot, and now it's happening to me, no matter what i do the artifact doesn't appear i can hear the detector going crazy and red above but nope

you may have to reload and earlier save. I've had artifact spawn under the ground.

I had the same happen to me, it will sometimes spawn under the map and the player can't get to it
