But yeah, buggy and wonky shelter in stalker 2 is even worse than that one time in early CoP where I hid from an emissio in the super radioactive boat burning through all my vodka and rad drugs.
one of the most shamelessly selective cover I have seen was by "the cage". where I had to walk past an open boxcar that would not count as cover to... an identical open box car 10 feet past that one. wow, good thing random exposition duty guy made it here, it was so far.
Stakers that live past the tourist phase generally loot with a "can I still sprint if needed?" mentality. The weight vs value thing has always meant artifact hunting is your best bet.
Only pack consumables for what you really need. This include bullets.
Save often. Especially considering how buggy the game currently is.
The swamp was the worst one of all. That emission and mutant situation will be something I never forget.
yea I had the same thought, Emisisons are a problem if you are in the center of cordon too, it pointed me to the X3 lab which you can't access until later in the story
Same. The only place I've not been able to outrun an emission so far.
Perhaps drop stuff if you find yourself in danger ?..
The game is punishing you in multiple ways when you're wandering around with too much gear for too long, it is on you if you can't make it to a shelter because you're hoarding 250 kg of gear on your back.
I haven't been struck by an emission a single time, even in Cordon, mainly because I accept the fact that I might have to leave the equipment I expected to make a profit on if an emission happens.
You can outrun it by going to the rookie village, if you're strictly below reduced mobility weight and have either a few energy drinks or endurance artefacts. If you don't have those, I don't think it's possible.
Yeah, my mistake in Cordon was to look for an alternative way into the X-3 Lab instead of high tailing it to Rookie Village. I'm the first to admit mistakes were made. Lol.
