this question is only for those who have nearly "past point of no return/ red fortress cooling towers" dont look if you dont want spoilers.
doe Richter die after he is shot on your way to Strelok atop the red fortress. i cant tell. hes injured. i ran through all dialogue and hes moaning and grunting like he's dying but his dialogue suggests otherwise? im assuming hes dying but im not sure. clarification or interpretation would be helpful.

Richter's fate is determined by who you side with. I haven't seen anyone who has noticed yet but large parts of the game are very different depending on your choices. I guess that's because few people have even finished the game to one ending. That is the true brilliance of the game. Your choices change a great deal and all 4 endings have different ways to get there and the fate of many characters depends on what you do. From what you describe I think that Richter is still alive.

i hope. i didnt have him fight Col. K, Col. Degtyarov did and survived... but later in the mission he escorts you to the red fortress (regardless if you side with strelok or Dr. Kymanov) and he gets shot and you have a chance to talk to him after the fight. his dialogue isnt clear. especially since its similar to Spirit. lastly. during the flashback in the pod using kymanovs cartridge you see Col. K. and a shadowy figure to the right of Dr. Kymanov's vision? is that the Col? was the col there during the 2006 incident? lastly Agatha projects herself just like the representative. what is Agatha. who is Ukrainian? Agatha reminds me of Russian oligarchs. sorry lot of questions im in he dark on some of the stuff im seeing.
