Side quest for barkeep won't complete.

Took a side quest from the barkeep in Rostok to kill some bandits. I killed them, then returned for my reward. I got paid, but the quest doesn't officially complete. It still just says "Return to barkeep", who now has nothing to say and offers no more side gigs. This isn't the first job I've done for the barkeep yet this issue is a first. I tried reloading an earlier save. That didn't work. I tried restarting the game. This also didn't work. Finally, I reinstalled the game and this also didn't work. Any ideas for a quick fix, or am I just gonna have to wait for another patch?

I have this bug too. Did the bandits plus the optionals, got paid. Quest wont formally end.

Yup. You will get paid. But the journal entry will not close. Blue quest icon will not go away and no new dialogue option to start a new radiant quest. Very annoying bug.

Will have to wait for a patch.

It's not just the barkeep in Rostok. I've had this happen with the barkeep in Cement Factory, and the medic in Malachite.

When I remember, I do a quick save before taking a quest, so I can rollback if it won't complete. And of course, I didn't remember and just had it happen in Malachite, so, oh well.

I think that one had an additional but easily overlooked detail - free the mutant from the container. Luckily I spotted it in the journal before heading back to "complete" the mission.

This bug happens pretty much all over the place. Solveable with console commands (some mod to activate console necessary). See here:
